    Scholarships & Bursaries

As an arts organization, supporting educational initiatives and emerging artists in our community is an essential part of what we do. We offer a range of scholarships that support youth development and achievement in our community. We provide annual scholarships for individual students in music programs at Toronto area colleges and universities. We also support organizations that focus on education, outreach, and youth development in a variety of ways.

    Scholarships to Post Secondary Institutions

Every year, JAZZ.FM91 offers individual scholarships to music students at four, Toronto based post secondary schools:

    •    Humber College
    •    University of Toronto
    •    York University
    •    Mohawk College

The criteria for these JAZZ.FM91 Scholarships, administered by the music departments of each school, include excellence in the areas of performance, knowledge of music theory, as well as a student’s demonstrated propensity for being an engaged “team player” in their academic community.

Eligible Schools include Humber College, University of Toronto, York University and Mohawk College.

    •    Mary Alice Stuart Scholarship Award: The founding chair of JAZZ.FM91, Mary Alice Stuart, made an unparalleled contribution to the organization, helping to make JAZZ.FM91 the successful enterprise that it is today.
